Tap into your inner artist with this informal art class. Part art class, part social, and 100% delightful. Iin this series of classes I’ll take you through the basics of watercolour, we’ll cover a range of techniques as well as broader art themes such as composition, colour theory, perspective and how to create striking artworks to help you to see like an artist would. For beginners and those more familiar with the medium alike, these classes are designed to improve your skills, meet new people, and chat away with other creatives.
You don’t need any experience to join and I’ll teach you how to use watercolour to create beautiful paintings. We’ll cover a range of skills and techniques in watercolour with the aim of providing you with the knowledge to paint at home.
Classes will run Thursdays 10 -12pm in Cussop Hall. (Cusop Hall, Hay, HR35RW)
If you’d like to try the class before purchasing your own materials, you can buy paint and paper at the class for an additional £3 per session. Do let me know ahead of time if you would like materials provided. If not, you’ll need to bring along watercolour brushes, 300gsm water watercolour paper and watercolour paint. I’ll provide palettes and water jugs. I’ll also send you a recommended materials list so you can ensure you have the right materials ahead of time.
You can also gift a class to a creative loved one. Please head to the Art Classes tab on the main menu and scroll down to The Gift Of Art Voucher. The receiver will then be able to choose a class that suits them.
